At Rellim Surveyors, we believe everyone deserves a safe, decent place to call home. As professionals who assess the quality of the properties our clients purchase, we understand the importance of ensuring every home is fit to live in.

But what about those who have no home at all?
That’s why we are proud to support CHESS Homeless, a Chelmsford-based charity dedicated to helping single adults experiencing homelessness across Essex. CHESS not only provides emergency accommodation but also delivers long-term support to help individuals rebuild their lives with dignity and purpose.
For every home survey we conduct, we donate £5 of our profits to CHESS Homeless. It’s our way of giving back to the community and extending our mission beyond the homes we survey — helping those who don’t yet have a roof over their head.
The Turning Point Initiative
One of CHESS Homeless’s most exciting recent projects is Turning Point — a forward-thinking housing initiative launched in Chelmsford. This development features 24 self-contained DuoHaus modular homes, providing long-term accommodation for individuals moving on from homelessness.
Each unit includes a modern kitchen, lounge-diner, bedroom, and private bathroom — offering not just shelter, but dignity, independence, and hope. Residents also have access to on-site support 24/7, helping them build life skills, access employment opportunities, and work towards permanent, independent living.
Turning Point reflects CHESS’s commitment to tackling the root causes of homelessness, not just the symptoms — and we’re proud that our donations help support such meaningful, life-changing work.
Driven by Passion, Powered by People
Our entire team — from our leadership to our support staff and even our children — are passionate about making a difference. Supporting CHESS Homeless is more than just a charitable initiative for us; it’s a reflection of our values and a way to use our platform for good.
By choosing Rellim Surveyors, our clients aren’t just investing in peace of mind for their new home — they’re also helping someone else take the first step towards having a home of their own.
